Northside Elementary is proud to celebrate Mariia for receiving a special ELL student recognition from Bay District Schools. After arriving from Ukraine and beginning at Northside in November 2024, Mariia has fearlessly made incredible strides in a very short amount of time, demonstrating determination and a true love of learning.
Mariia’s academic growth has been outstanding, with impressive gains in reading and math and significant progress in her English language development. She actively works to improve her English every day, often choosing to read challenging library books and pushing herself academically across all subject areas.
Beyond her achievements, Mariia is a kind, responsible, creative, and confident student who embraces new challenges with a positive attitude and is a friend to all. Her perseverance, resilience, and pride in her journey make her truly deserving of this recognition, and we are so proud to have her as part of the Northside family.
